When I was in preschool and kindergarten I would take some Vlasic Pickles and Kraft American Cheese from our family’s refrigerator and sell them at the end of our driveway. In hindsight I realized my endeavor was successful not only because of my initiative but how could someone say “NO” to a cute kid hustling to make some of his own money. I would then hop on my Big Wheel with my earnings and go to the corner store and buy my candy and comic books. Now that was an exciting day! My parents were very supportive because they thought it was cute and at the same time I was learning some valuable life lessons. This was the beginning of my American Dream! 

I went on to play collegiate baseball at Michigan and UC Irvine (long story…you can ask me about it later.) I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from UC Irvine. I then began a career in Sales and Marketing because my father said I would meet successful people, learn about how the business operates and help people with the products and services I had to offer. 

Flash forward to 2002 I became a co-founder of NightHawk Radiology Services with my father and my college roommate. The internet was just coming into its own and we became the first internet-based Global Telemedicine company in the world helping millions of people every day! (Another story you can ask me about.) We worked with nearly 1000 people in our offices in the US, Australia and Switzerland. I rose from Chief Cook and Bottlewasher to eventually becoming COO. Along the way, I helped build a National Sales and Marketing team. I personally was responsible for selling $150 Million Dollars in annual recurring revenues. I then moved into M&A and my Team and I helped to acquire Companies valued nearly at $200 Million Dollars. I love to make both big and small DEALS happen! 

NightHawk (NHWK) eventually went public on the NASDAQ Exchange in 2005 and I served as a Board Member from 2002 until 2007 when I left the company to “retire and spend time with my family” (another story we can chat about) I was very fortunate to be able to watch my children grow up and as adults they are all doing well pursuing their careers and their Dreams. Being able to spend that time with them over the last 16 years has truly been a blessing and one of the greatest accomplishments of my life! 

NHWK was founded in Coeur d’Alene, ID where all of my 5 children grew up. When we moved to Coeur d’Alene 27 years ago from Los Angeles it was very much a Timber and Mining community and has now transformed into a world class Resort Community. The changes have been dramatic and now Real Estate and Real Estate Development have become a big part of the changes in Idaho, Washington and the Northwest as a whole. I now live in Seattle, WA with my wife Tessa and our super cool dog BO! I am now the Managing Member and founder of Coeur Capital Real Estate Group.
